The Crossover board reserves the right to make the final decision on the team/player selection process
Important Notes
Notes for Teams
Teams must have registered prior to the tournament date and must have been confirmed.
Teams must be accepted under an accepted church/organization name.
Team/Roster changes must be made clear to the Crossover board prior to the start of the tournament.
Shaking hands with opponents before the games and after the games is highly encouraged.
Notes for Players
Each participant must fill out the waiver form.
Only players who are part of the final team roster are eligible to participate. They must have been registered PRIOR to the tournament date. No Ringers.
All players must be over the age of 12.
Players may be asked to prove their affiliation with their respective churches/organization if the need arises.The Crossover board reserves the right to deny the registration of a player who fails to produce sufficient proof in a timely manner.
The Crossover board/medical staff must approve of an injured player to continue playing, especially in the case of head injuries.
Format
Individual Game Format
For Regular Season AND Playoffs:
Two 10-minute halves
Clocks will be running with the exception of the last 1 minute of the second half.
No shot clock
1 minute Half-time
Each team is permitted 3 twenty-second timeouts per game.
Tournament Format
Every team in each bracket will play each other, which means 3 guaranteed games.
In case of a tie, tie-breakers will be applied in the following order to determine the advancing teams for playoffs
Teams that forfeit or have an ejection will lose all tie-breakers
Seeding will be determined by overall record, not bracket placement.
Brackets are pre-determined randomly before the tournament

Head to head
Point differential
Least points allowed per team in their respective brackets
Most points scored per team in their respective brackets

Playoff Format
The highest records (tie-breakers included) will be ranked to determine the top 10 seeds.
Top 6 seeds will automatically make the playoffs.
Play-in Tournament
The 7-10 seeds will play a single elimination game to determine who will make the final 2 spots in the playoffs
7 seed plays the 10 seed
8 seed plays the 9 seed
Playoffs: Quarter-finals
Seed 1 v Seed 8 (lowest play-in seed)
Seed 2 v Seed 7 (highest play-in seed)
Seed 3 v Seed 6
Seed 4 v Seed 5
Playoffs: Semi-finals
1: Winner of 1\8 vs Winner of 4\5
2: Winner of 2\7 vs WInner or 3\6
Game-time Rules- NCAA Rules
The officials have authority and control over all aspects of the game, as defined by the NCAA Rules. Officials' decisions are final, even if made in error, and cannot be contested.
Time-Outs
Teams get 3 timeouts for the entirety of the game
Teams get only one 20-second timeout per overtime period.
Fouls
Team Fouls
Fouls of any kind assessed to any member of the team will be counted as team fouls.
After the 5th team foul in a half, it will be a 1-and-1 situation for the opposing team
From the 8th team foul onwards in a half, the opposing team shoots 2 free throws for the opposing team player that was fouled.
Player Fouls
Players have 5 personal fouls
A player will be disqualified upon committing his fifth foul of any type (including technical fouls), or his second technical foul.
Free Throws
If a player is fouled in the act of shooting a three-pointer, such player is given the
Opportunity to shoot three free throws if the shot is missed. If the fouled player makes the three pointer then the player only receives one free throw.
If an offensive player is fouled in the act of shooting and he makes the shot, the basket is counted and the offensive player receives 1 free throw.
If the player doesn’t make the initial shot then he receives 2 free throws.
If a team player that is fouled is not able to shoot the ensuing foul shots; any of his teammates may shoot them in his place.
A player may use no more than ten seconds to shoot free throws.
Overtime
In the event of a tie at the end of the game, an overtime period of two minutes shall be played. The clock stops for every dead ball in the overtime.
If needed, a second overtime period will only be 1 minute.
Substitutions
Substitutions are made according to NCAA Rules only after a whistle is blown.
The substitute must be called on by an official. Players cannot just sub themselves in under their own discretion.
Violations
Three Second Violations:
If an offensive player has both feet in the paint for 3 seconds, a violation will be called.
Inbound Violation:
Players have 5 seconds to inbound before a violation is called.
Backcourt Violation:
Players handling the ball spend more than 10 seconds in the backcourt or enter the backcourt with the ball after they have already crossed midcourt.
Minimum Number of Players: 4
Teams unable to produce at least four players will forfeit the game after 10 minutes have passed from scheduled game-time.
CONDUCT
The Referees and Crossover board have the final say over any matters related to ejections/suspensions/technical fouls/flagrant fouls.
Technical Fouls
A technical foul results in the opposing team receiving one free throw. Two technical fouls by a single player/coach results in an ejection. A technical foul by a single player will be assessed as a personal foul

Flagrant Fouls
Any foul deemed excessive will result in a flagrant foul. Two flagrant fouls in a given game will lead to ejection. A flagrant foul also counts as a personal foul.
